Nuneham Estate is located five miles south of the City of Oxford, on the banks of the River Thames and close to The Cotswolds and all that has to offer.
The Estate encompasses over 1,000 acres of land, a Grade II Listed Palladian Mansion, Grade I Registered Park and Garden landscaped by Capability Brown.
The grounds offer flexible outside space for weddings and events, and the undulating land offers challenging game and simulated shooting. This year we have opened brand new self-catering accommodation on the Estate, and are therefore able to offer visitors the option to stay at the Estate alongside these activities, or just to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the Estate.
The significance of the Estate spans many different spheres including heritage, economy, landscape, ecology, environment, and community, all of which inter-relate and are of high importance.

Getting Married At Nuneham Estate, in the heart of Oxfordshire
The Estate has many possible locations for wedding receptions and celebration events on our historic and beautiful landscape but the Walled Gardens are extremely special and open at limited times throughout the year from 2024.
Partnering with the wonderful Husk Marquees we offer Bohemian woodland weddings, luxury marquee receptions in large open spaces or in the more intimate setting of our walled garden.
From 2024 self-catering accommodation on the estate will mean that wedding parties can stay on site for the duration of the celebrations.
Country Sports in Oxfordshire
The Nuneham Shoot offers days of driven game over the Estate’s undulating fields and the Thames River valley. Days available include partridge only or mixed game – partridge, pheasant and duck.
Catering is hosted on the Estate by Saffron from eSJaye Catering including breakfast, in-field elevenses and lunch. End of the day tea is also available.
Simulated game days at the Estate are also available all year round and are perfect for novice shots and also for guns looking to get their eye in before the start of the shooting season. We also welcome corporate and team building events.
With self-catering accommodation, a days shoot can be extended with an overnight stay.
